Yukio Miyamoto - This is some amazing artwork done in Adobe Illustrator using the gradient mesh tool.

Spin Video - A great short film, at first i thought it was going to be an ad for something, but it ended up being a very cleverly made short film.

Digitize Textfiles - Really good idea, since Google and others are digitizing existing texts, this is another good look at that. I really like their slogan to - “Saving history, one page at a time”.

Eric Myer - Fun to play with, mixing and matching the top and bottom of different people to make some strange looking combinations.

CD Pressing - I love watching videos on production lines and how they work. This is about how they make CDs from start to finish.

Timeflex - Good idea, even though it’s a concept i’m sure it would be extremely useful. Don’t know how long till it will be in production and what sort of pricing it will have.

Death Switch - This is a very strange idea. I can see where they’re coming from, but still it’s just very weird.

I came across this site called mee-sir the other day. It’s an interesting way of finding recipes. I’ve seen other sites that allow you to click through lists of ingredients, however this one asks for the ingredients that you have and finds recipes based on those ingredients.

This would be very handy if you’re stuck for ideas and have some items that could be turned into a meal. I can also see this as being useful after a night out, when you can’t be bothered thinking about what to make and just need something to munch on.

I read this story the other day about the US banning Vegemite due to it containing a particular ingredient.

This is silly because all the Aussies in the states now have to go without due to this law. Vegemite is part of the every day diet for many Australians and contains many ingredients that are good for you. I’m sure many of the things that are served in the US are worse for you.

Come on Johnny, ask your best buddy Dubya to turn a blind eye on this one. You can do it!

Anyway next thing you’ll hear about people from Australia going to the US and being cavity searched to find tubes of Vegemite. Now that would be a story. :)

Update
Thanks to Brad for posting a comment about a petition setup in an attempt to stop Vegemite being banned in the US. Please show your support and sign the petition.

Vegemite is OK!

I have got to get me one of these. It was developed by a Brisbane based guy. So maybe I’ll bump into him one day. :)
Anyway the Chinese are tying to get hold of this extremely powerful machine gun so that they can reverse engineer it and use it in their diabolical schemes. Well maybe not, but you never know. It’s great that China is advancing in the way that they are, but for them to be making such lethal weaponry is very scary, particularly if they are going to be creating mass armies.

Either way this gun looks extremely cool and I’d love to give it a test run. Perhaps on something bigger than tin cans.

Check out this site promoting Smirnoff Raw Tea. Watch the video, it's so gangsta! :D
